Phyllis Needelman has been working in all phases of glass for over 20 years. Castle Stained Glass was opened in 1996 in response to the needs of a full service stained glass retail location in San Luis Obispo. Phyllis Needelman has increased the variety of glass supplies to become the largest Stained Glass location in central California. She has taken a variety of classes from professionals in the field to increase her knowledge and bring a wider range of glass skills and products to her customers.

She has taught classes in beginning stained glass, advanced stained glass techniques, mosaics, casting, beads and glass fusion. She has developed a large glass fusing program at Castle and has brought in world renowned teachers to increase the range of techniques for her customers as well as for herself.

Honing her teaching skills over the years has brought her praise from the more than 1500 students she has taught. Her classes are well received because she makes them fun in addition to teaching her students proper techniques that make the hobby enjoyable.
